Allergic disease is rising steeply across India, yet the specialist workforce equipped to deliver standard care remains small, structured training programmes are few, and opportunities for formal certification in Allergy are scarcer still. Allergocon endeavors to narrow that gap.
Allergocon 2027 is built around a single question: What does current evidence actually change in the clinic on a Monday morning? The programme opens with a full workshop day: nine parallel three-hour sessions combining concise teaching, demonstration and guided hands-on practice, covering practical allergy testing, pulmonary function testing with FeNO and impulse oscillometry, allergen immunotherapy, food and drug allergy, biologics, immunodeficiency evaluation, laboratory interpretation, and the practical use of AI in allergy practice.
Two conference days follow, with an adult track and a paediatric track running in parallel, converging for joint sessions. The scientific programme includes the Sheldon Spector Oration, a pro/con debate on early biologic therapy, "Bring Your Own Case" expert panels, literature reviews, and sessions on type 2 Multimorbidity, Asthma Remission, Component-resolved Diagnostics, Air Pollution and Climate Change, Penicillin-Allergy Delabelling, and Inborn Errors of Immunity. Oral abstract presentations and poster sessions give delegates the opportunity to present original research and receive feedback from senior figures in the field.
Faculty are drawn from India alongside international colleagues from the United States, United Kingdom and Singapore. The meeting will be about practising allergists, and specialists and trainees from Pulmonary Medicine, Paediatrics, ENT and General Medicine.
Applications have been submitted to the Tamil Nadu Medical Council (TNMC) for credit hours and to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU) for accreditation credits.
