General Guidelines
At a glance
- All submissions are online this year. Submit at: https://conference.pulmedcmc.com/abstract-submission/
- Abstract submission deadline: 15 December 2026, 23:59 IST
- This deadline is final. No submissions will be accepted after this date, and no extension is planned.
- Notification of acceptance: 17 December 2026
- Poster display and judging: Day 1 — Friday, 8 January 2027
- Oral finals and case competition: Day 2 — 9 January 2027
- Registration is mandatory for every presenting author. Abstracts without a registered presenting author will be withdrawn.
Read the format rules, word limits and the sample abstracts below before you open the form. Most abstracts that fail do so on structure, not on science.
The two competitions
Allergocon 2027 runs two separate competitions. You may enter either or both, but each requires its own submission on the online form, written to the format specified for that category.
Competition 1 — Original research
- Every accepted research abstract must be presented as a poster on Day 1. There is no abstract-only or oral-only route.
- Posters are judged at the poster session by a panel of judges. Judging is based on the poster and your discussion of it with the judges — not on the abstract alone.
- The top six posters advance to the oral final on Day 2.
- All six finalists receive an award for moving to round 2
- The top three in the oral final receive an additional award.
Competition 2 — Medically challenging cases
- Submit a case abstract using the case format on the online form.
- Selected cases are presented and discussed before an expert panel during the case presentation competition on Day 2, in two streams: adult and paediatric.
- Winners are awarded separately in the adult and paediatric streams.
- Cases are judged on the teaching value of the case and the quality of the presentation and discussion — not on how rare the diagnosis was.
How to submit
All abstracts are submitted through the online submission form: https://conference.pulmedcmc.com/abstract-submission/
Abstracts sent by email will not be considered.
The form presents each section as a separate box with its own word limit. You may type directly into the boxes or paste text prepared elsewhere. We strongly recommend drafting in a word processor first, checking each section against its limit, and then pasting — the form will not save partially completed submissions indefinitely.
What the form will ask for
- Category: Original research / Medically challenging case (adult) / Medically challenging case (paediatric)
- Title
- Authors, in the order they should appear. The presenting author must be entered first.
- Affiliations for each author: institution, city, state, country
- Presenting author’s email address and mobile number
- The structured abstract sections for your chosen category (see word limits below)
- One image may be uploaded per abstract — JPEG or PNG, maximum 500 kb
- Declaration of whether the work has been presented or published elsewhere
- Confirmation of ethics committee approval (research) or patient consent (cases)
You will receive an automatic acknowledgement on submission. Keep it. If you do not receive one, your submission did not register — resubmit well before the deadline rather than on the last evening.
Word limits
Each section on the form is capped separately. The limits below follow the conventions of major international allergy and respiratory meetings, where a structured abstract runs to roughly 300 words with the results section carrying the greatest weight.
Original research
- Title — 20 words
- Background — 50 words
- Methods — 70 words
- Results — 145 words
- Conclusion — 35 words
- Total body: 300 words
Medically challenging case
- Title — 20 words
- Background — 50 words
- Case details — 180 words
- Discussion — 80 words
- Conclusion — 40 words
- Total body: 350 words
Authors and affiliations are not counted. Cases are allowed a longer body because a clinical narrative reported in sequence cannot be compressed to the same degree as a results table.
